For a Cheap Mike Boom, you can:
Use PVC Pipe.  0%  0%  [ 0 ]
Buy one on Ebay.  0%  0%  [ 0 ]
Make one using an old small mike stand as the base.  0%  0%  [ 0 ]
Use something else.  0%  0%  [ 0 ]

Is there another way to make a mike boom with stronger material than PVC pipe, at cheap cost? Anything?

The least expensive option we offer is boom poles by Rode which start at $99 and are made from aluminum (considerably more stiff than PVC pipe). Their length is adjustable (unlike pvc pipe) and they come with a 3/8" stud that allows for easy mounting on a microphone shockmount (also unlike PVC pipe).
